The Power Up Shared Reading experience is a five-day bootcamp built to give K-3 teachers a crash course in Shared Reading through short, 20 minute daily activities delivered to your inbox that are designed to instruct and inspire. You'll learn the nuts and bolts of this powerful teaching strategy, all while using our template and your own carefully selected text to develop a unique, week-long Shared Reading plan for your classroom. Throughout the bootcamp, you’ll observe other teachers in action, share ideas in a discussion forum and get feedback from your instructor. By the last day, everyone in the bootcamp will be ready to add their work to a resource bank which all participants will have access to. This course promises to power up your instructional strategies while building joy and excitement in your young readers!
To get started in the bootcamp, sign up now! You'll receive directions on how to complete your enrollment and kick-off your Shared Reading experience!
All teachers who successfully complete the bootcamp, which includes moderated discussions and a final assessment, will receive a certification of completion from PBS TeacherLine worth 2.5 professional development hours. The last day to submit work and complete the quiz is February 17 @ 11:59 PM ET.

* Additionally, PBS TeacherLine will randomly select 40 teachers who successfully complete the bootcamp to receive a teacher swag bag from PBS sent to their school or house! Find out more about the official rules for the giveaway here.

*Note: While PBS TeacherLine is excited to offer a certificate of completion for this professional development bootcamp, PBS can’t guarantee what states or districts will accept this experience or certificate for formal PD credit. We recommended checking with your local district or state professional development office to determine eligibility.
